All Ages Can Audition for Alice in Wonderland

You can audition at  Steeple Players for Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland,” Monday, July 30th and Tuesday, July 31st at 6:30 p.m. at the Steeple Players Theatre, located in the City Square Shopping Center at 260 West Main Street, Suite 204 in Hendersonville. Steeple Players is looking for adults and children of all ages to fill a cast of 35 delightful characters and an ensemble. Please be prepared for a cold read from the script. The Steeple Players Theatre Presents Heaven Can Wait

You can fly on over to The Steeple Players Theatre with your favorite angel and treat yourself to Heaven Can Wait.  The play runs through May 31st - June 10th, 2012 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Heaven Can Wait tells the story of a boxer, who is mistakenly taken to Heaven by an overeager angel before his time.  He is allowed to return to Earth and live out the rest of his life.  However, his body has been cremated and he has to inhabit the body of a crooked investor.  The boxer sets out to transform the crooked man's life.  Does he has the skill and luck to make it through his 2nd chance at life?

Please treat yourself to the very talented cast and crew's production of Heaven Can Wait.  I hope you enjoy the show!

Hendersonville Theater is a Gem

Have you ever heard the saying that the best things are right under your nose? Hendersonville has an incredible small theater called Steeple Players.  It's right off of  Main Street. Unfortunately, most locals do not know it even exists.

We recently saw The Wizard of Oz and we were amazed at what they accomplished with a limited budget and tiny stage.  Steeple Players utilized every inch of the tiny stage.  They always think outside the box and add surprising and creative touches throughout their plays.

I really enjoy being close to the actors and being drawn into the story.  Afterwards the actors line up for a meet and greet.   It truly is an enjoyable way to spend an evening.  I have seen plays such as Little Women, Steel Magnolias, and Bell Witch.  I have always left each play feeling impressed and entertained.
