Woodland Gallery Review

I first visited Woodland Gallery today. I have been wanting to discover a pottery place and Woodland Gallery sort of landed in my lap. I missed a street and accidentally discovered Woodland Gallery. If you like supporting mom and pop businesses, you will love this resourceful store.

After speaking with a very pleasant employee, I discovered that an incredibly talented family runs the store. The father specializes in photography, the mother makes the pottery and teaches classes, and the daughter designs jewelry and art and makes clothing alternations especially bridal gowns. She also creates couture dresses.

Woodland Gallery has pottery pieces, jewelry, art, quilts, and other handmade art. I especially loved the melted bottle serving trays.  You can even bring in your glass bottle and have it melted down into a serving tray.

You can take pottery classes in the studio that is located behind the store. There are classes for children 8 years old and up, teens, and adults.  The studio has 5 potter's wheels.

If you're a mom, they have a mom's night out on the weekdays.  It is $25 per person and the class size is 5 adults.  You can call 348-0060 to schedule an appointment.

You can also take a sewing class too.

It is located at 126 Powell Drive, Hendersonville, TN 37075.  Their phone number is 615-348-0060.

Their hours are:

Noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday - Friday and on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Please visit their website at www.woodlandgallery.net for further information such as class schedules, costs, directions, etc.

Wired Coffee Company Review

When I walked into Wired Coffee Company, its funky vibe and mellow warmth swept me off my feet.  I felt like I walked into a Tom Petty video from the 80s.

I ordered a caramel macchiato and it was perfection. Wireless Coffee Company uses Bonjo Java beans, which is fair trade and 100% organic. Wired also uses high quality syrups such as Ghiradelli and 1883 The World's Best.

The  friendly pink-haired barista told me about the shop and even introduced me to the shop's mascot-a tiny coal black dog that occasionally dances on command.

Wired Coffee's relaxed ambiance is heightened with a stage with a piano, overstuffed couches and chairs, and monthly revolving art work. My favorite part is the Cozy Corner Nook, which is a small room with comfortable overstuffed seats and a packed bookcase.

Wired Coffee Company  has Writer's Night every Thursday night at 8 p.m and Wired Open Mic every Friday at 8:30 p.m.  On Saturday nights, you can watch movies on Wired Coffee's eight-foot projection screen for free.

Wired Coffee Company is located at 699 West Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075. If you are driving towards Rivergate, it is right after Blue Goose Cafe.

I rate this store 5 stars for its menu, friendly service, entertainment, and incredible atmosphere.

If you wish to check out a popular book such as The Help, you need to reserve a copy.  I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to check out Eat, Pray, Love and it is never available.  One of the librarians will call you when the book is available.  You can always renew your books on the library website unless it is a new release.

The librarians are helpful, kind, and friendly.  I cannot sing their praises enough.  One of the librarians even sent me a card when she found out my mother was ill.  Another time my daughter was giggling loudly in the children's section and one of the librarians said she enjoyed hearing the sound of children's laughter.

The library also offers several interesting programs for people of all ages such as:

ABC Club is held for 4-year-olds during the school year.  You can sign up during the first week of August.
